• The original title of the film was “An Education.”
• Bibian Kidron could have directed the film, but pre-production for “Sensual Education” dragged on for a year and a half. During that time, Kidron signed on to direct “Hippie Hippie Shake” and was forced to leave the project.
• Orlando Bloom dropped out of the project a week before filming began and was replaced by Dominic Cooper.
• In the scene where David comes to Jenny to wish her a happy birthday, at the moment the door is opened, there is one book (given by her father) open on Jenny’s table, and the second (given by a friend) is still packaged. The instant David enters the room, both books are in a different place on the table and are unpackaged.
• At the 44th minute, in the scene where Jenny, David, Danny and Hally arrive by car at a house for sale in Oxford, David and Danny are initially sitting in the front seats, and in the next shot – David and Jenny.
