American Pie Presents: The Book of Love

American Pie Presents: The Book of Love is a comedy set at East Great Falls High, the same school featured in the earlier American Pie films. Three students, Rob, Lube and Nathan, are determined to lose their virginity, and their efforts keep falling short until they find a hidden guide to seduction in the school library. The book was assembled by students from earlier generations, but its pages are damaged and much of the advice is missing. The incomplete guidance sends the friends on a chaotic search that eventually brings them into contact with Noah Levenstein, a former student tied to the book's history.

The film was directed by John Putch, whose credits include Tycus, The Poseidon Adventure and, later, Atlas Shrugged: Part II and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. David H. Steinberg wrote the screenplay, and Mike Elliott produced. Bug Hall, Brandon Hardesty and Kevin M. Horton play the three leads, with Beth Behrs, Melanie Papalia and Jennifer Holland among the supporting cast. The production involved 74 credited cast members and 99 credited crew.

Made for 8 million dollars, the film took in about 5 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.7 from roughly 52,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.3 from a much smaller base of about 1,900 votes.
