A dangerous gang leader named Kancel escapes custody and kidnaps Gabriel Carré, the head of an anti-banditry brigade who arrested him three years prior. Held captive in a villa, Carré becomes the target of a psychological battle as Kancel attempts to force him to reveal the identity of the informant who betrayed him. With a strict time limit of 96 hours, the conflict centers on the clash between the criminal and the police officer.

This French thriller was directed by Frédéric Schoendoerffer, following his work on Secret Agents and Switch and preceding Fast Convoy. The screenplay was written by Philippe Isard.
