Time Lapse

Three roommates living in a modest apartment complex discover that a scientist neighbour has died, and inside his home they find a large machine that produces a photograph of their own living room each day, showing what will happen twenty-four hours later. Finn, the building manager and an aspiring painter, his girlfriend Callie, a waitress who writes, and their friend Jasper, who follows dog racing, begin using the pictures to their advantage, betting on races and settling into a comfortable routine. The images gradually turn troubling, and the trio finds itself caught in events they can no longer steer.

Bradley King directed the 2014 American science fiction thriller from a screenplay he wrote with B.P. Cooper, with Rick Montgomery and Cooper producing. Danielle Panabaker plays Callie, Matt O'Leary plays Finn and George Finn plays Jasper, with John Rhys-Davies, Amin Joseph and Jason Spisak in supporting roles.

The film rates 6.5 out of 10 on IMDb across roughly 53,000 votes and the same 6.5 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of about 1,400, suggesting a steady, moderate reception rather than a broad following.
