The Maid

Raquel has spent over two decades working as a housekeeper for the wealthy Valdés family. Feeling that her position in the home is threatened when her employer hires additional help, Raquel uses psychological manipulation and childish antics to drive away her new colleagues and antagonize the family's daughter. Her attempts to maintain control and protect her status continue until the arrival of Lucy, a cheerful woman who manages to challenge Raquel's behavior and influence her perspective on life.

The film was directed by Sebastián Silva, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pedro Peirano. This project is the first in a series of four films directed by Silva, followed by Magic Magic, Madly, and Rotting in the Sun. The cast is led by Catalina Saavedra in the role of Raquel, appearing alongside Claudia Celedón, Andrea García-Huidobro, Mariana Loyola, Alejandro Goic, and Delfina Guzmán.
