Survivor

Kate Abbott works at the American embassy in London, screening visa applicants to keep suspected terrorists out of the United States. When a bombing kills her colleagues, she becomes the main suspect in the attack rather than its target, and she goes on the run to clear her name while trying to stop a planned strike in New York.

James McTeigue directed the film, his fourth feature after V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin and The Raven, from a screenplay by Philip Shelby. Milla Jovovich plays Kate, with Pierce Brosnan as a killer known as the Watchmaker, alongside Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster and James D'Arcy. Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler and Boaz Davidson produced the British-American co-production for Nu Image, Millennium Media and Chartoff-Winkler Productions.

Released in 2015, the film runs 96 minutes and had a budget of 20 million USD. Audiences have been lukewarm: it holds the same score of 5.7 out of 10 on both IMDb, from roughly 37,000 votes, and TMDB, from about 1,100 votes, a modest showing for a thriller built around a well-known cast. The credited production employed 29 cast members and 109 crew.
