Mammoth

Leo Vidales is a successful video game entrepreneur in New York, wealthy from an internet venture, and his wife Ellen is a surgeon. Their young daughter Jackie spends most of her time with Gloria, the family's Filipina nanny, a situation that troubles Ellen. When a business trip takes Leo to Thailand, his time away sets off events that reshape the household, while Gloria's own son back in the Philippines copes with his mother's absence.

Lukas Moodysson wrote and directed Mammoth, which came after Show Me Love, Lilya 4-ever and before Together 99 in his filmography. Lars Jönsson produced the drama, a German, Danish and Swedish co-production, with Gael García Bernal and Michelle Williams as Leo and Ellen, and Marife Necesito as Gloria. The film runs 125 minutes.
