Robbery

Set in Hong Kong, this story follows a young man who views himself as a smooth operator but struggles to find stable employment. He eventually takes a job as a night clerk at a convenience store, where he works alongside a young woman. While the setting initially suggests a romantic comedy, the situation escalates into a violent farce involving a robbery, gangsters, a shootout, and a homemade bomb. The plot uses these absurd events to reflect a bleak social environment where hope is scarce.

Directed by Fire Lee Ka-Wing, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Lily He, the film features a cast including Derek Tsang Kwok-Cheung, J. Arie, Lam Suet, Stanley Fung, Philip Keung Ho-Man, and Eric Kwok Wai-Leung. Produced by Sun Entertainment Culture, the movie blends elements of comedy, crime, fantasy, romance, and thriller into a 90-minute runtime.

The film has received generally positive feedback from viewers, holding a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDb based on 595 votes and a higher score of 6.9/10 on TMDB from 42 votes.
