The Ardennes

After a violent home robbery goes wrong, Dave escapes while his brother Kenneth is captured and imprisoned for four years. Upon his release, Kenneth intends to reclaim his former life and win back his girlfriend, Sylvie. However, he discovers that Dave and Sylvie have since started a relationship and are attempting to lead a stable, honest life together. Tension rises as the volatile Kenneth struggles to reintegrate into a world that has moved on without him, eventually leading to a dangerous situation in the Ardennes.

The film was directed by Robin Pront, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeroen Perceval. This was the first of three films directed by Pront, followed by The Silencing and Zillion. The cast features Jeroen Perceval as Dave, Veerle Baetens as Sylvie, and Kevin Janssens as Kenneth.
