Rage

After a married couple is brutally killed and the word for rage is written in their blood, the murderer alters his appearance through plastic surgery to evade capture. The story unfolds across three different Japanese locations where mysterious strangers appear. Local residents in these areas become suspicious, fearing that these newcomers may be the fugitive responsible for the crime.

Directed by Sang-il Lee, this drama and mystery thriller followed his previous works, Hula Girls and Unforgiven, and preceded Kokuho. Lee also co-wrote the screenplay with Shuichi Yoshida. The film features an ensemble cast including Ken Watanabe, Mirai Moriyama, Aoi Miyazaki, Satoshi Tsumabuki, Go Ayano, and Suzu Hirose, with a total of 20 credited actors.

The movie earned 14 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is generally positive, reflected in a 7/10 rating on IMDb based on 3,700 votes and a 6.9/10 rating on TMDB from 83 votes.
