Gaurav Chandna is a young man from Delhi whose devotion to the movie star Aryan Khanna borders on worship. They happen to share the same face, so when Gaurav wins a lookalike contest, he travels to Mumbai hoping to meet his idol on the star's birthday and present him with the trophy. The reunion does not go as he imagines, and his admiration hardens into a dangerous obsession that reaches beyond himself.

Shah Rukh Khan plays both men. The dual role was directed by Maneesh Sharma, working from a screenplay by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra for Yash Raj Films, with Red Chillies Entertainment and Prime Focus also involved.
