All for the Winner

Sing, a mute young man from mainland China, arrives in Hong Kong to visit his uncle Tat, a compulsive gambler who is constantly short of money. At first Tat has little use for his naive relative, but he changes his mind once he discovers that Sing can see through solid objects. Tat trains him in games of chance and presents him as a "Saint of Gamblers," putting his nephew's ability to work in the local gambling world.

The film was directed by Corey Yuen, with Jeff Lau Chun-Wai, who also served as producer alongside Yuen. It was Yuen's fifth film as director, following No Retreat, No Surrender 2: Raging Thunder and preceding The Legend. It was the first film directed by Lau in the chronological list of his work, ahead of The Eagle Shooting Heroes and the two A Chinese Odyssey films released in 1995. The screenplay was written by Lau and Ng See-Yuen, and the cast is led by Stephen Chow as Sing, Ng Man-tat as Uncle Tat, Sharla Cheung, Sandra Ng Kwan-Yue, Paul Chun and Angelina Lo Yuen-Yan.

Released in Hong Kong in August 1990 and running 101 minutes, the action comedy took in about 5 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.8 from roughly 3,100 votes, and on TMDB it also stands at 6.8, from about 110 votes.
