Ren Amari is the creator of OtherLife, a biological drug that allows users to experience vast virtual realities in their minds by expanding the brain's perception of time. While Ren and her team aim to launch the product, the government seeks to weaponize the technology to combat prison overcrowding by forcing criminals to serve long sentences in virtual cells within minutes of real time. After resisting these plans, Ren becomes a prisoner in her own consciousness and must find a way to escape to regain control of her invention.
This Australian science fiction crime mystery was directed by Ben C. Lucas, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Gregory Widen and Kelley Eskridge. The film stars Jessica De Gouw as the protagonist Ren Amari, appearing alongside T.J. Power, Thomas Cocquerel, Tiriel Mora, Liam Graham, and Adriane Daff.
