Carbone

Antoine Roca is an ordinary man who creates a massive fraud scheme to prevent the loss of his business. His descent into the criminal world leads him to encounter murder and betrayal as he deals with the consequences of his actions. This crime thriller is inspired by a real-life carbon tax fraud that took place in France between 2008 and 2009.

The film was directed by Olivier Marchal, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Emmanuel Naccache. In the chronology of Marchal's directorial work, this project follows 36th Precinct and A Gang Story, and precedes Rogue City, Overdose, and Squad 36. The movie is a joint production between France and Belgium, involving EuropaCorp, Nexus Factory, and Les Films Manuel Munz. The main cast features Benoît Magimel in the lead role, alongside Laura Smet, Gringe, Idir Chender, Michaël Youn, and Dani.
