The Dilemma
Short description
Friends since college, Ronny and Nick are business partners at a small auto-design firm racing to land a contract that could establish their company. Ronny has a girlfriend, Beth, while Nick is married to Geneva, and both men seem settled. That changes when Ronny sees Geneva with another man. Unsure whether to tell Nick or keep quiet, he starts digging into what he saw, and the closer the crucial presentation gets, the harder the secret becomes to carry.
Ron Howard directed the film, the twenty-first of the thirty-two features he has made in chronological order, following Presidential Reunion and preceding Rush. Allan Loeb wrote the screenplay, and Brian Grazer, Vince Vaughn and Ron Howard produced. Vince Vaughn plays Ronny and Kevin James plays Nick, with Winona Ryder as Geneva, Jennifer Connelly as Beth, Queen Latifah as Dana and Channing Tatum as Zip.
Released in January 2011, the comedy drama runs 111 minutes and was made for about 70 million dollars, with a worldwide box office of roughly 67 million. On IMDb and TMDB, audience ratings sit at 5.4 out of 10 from 942 votes, while the critics' score stands at 4.4 out of 10 from 163 reviews.

- While practicing on the ice at the United Center indoor sports arena with a puck, Kevin James managed to fall and crash into the goal. The extras in the stands, without coordinating, began to sing the Chelsea Dagger sports anthem. (In reality, this is a song by the Scottish rock band The Fratellis from their debut album 'Costello Music' in 2006.)
- Jennifer Garner was initially cast for the role of Beth, but the actress left the project, and Jennifer Connelly played Beth instead.
