My Super Ex-Girlfriend centres on Matt Saunders, a New York architect who begins dating Jenny Johnson, an art gallery worker with a secret. Jenny is in fact G-Girl, a superhero who protects the city. When Matt decides the relationship has run its course and ends it, he discovers that breaking up with someone who can fly and bend steel is not straightforward. Jenny, feeling rejected, turns her abilities against him, complicating his life and his tentative involvement with a colleague, Hannah.
