Office Killer

Dorine Douglas, a shy proofreader at Constant Consumer magazine, sees her routine upended when budget cuts turn her job into one she must do from home. Isolated and struggling with the change, she accidentally kills a coworker, then finds that the act eases her loneliness. She begins assembling a makeshift office in her basement, furnished with the bodies of her dead colleagues.

The film is a dark comedy-thriller directed by Cindy Sherman, working from a screenplay by Tom Kalin and Elise MacAdam, with Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler producing. Carol Kane leads as Dorine, alongside Molly Ringwald, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Barbara Sukowa, Mike Hodge and Doug Barron among a credited cast of 29. It runs 82 minutes.
