Heroic Trio 2: Executioners

Set some time after the events of the first film, this Hong Kong action science-fiction story unfolds in a city devastated by nuclear attack. Drinking water has become scarce and dangerous, and a deformed villain named Mr. Kim has taken control of what little remains clean, extending his influence over both a popular leader and a militaristic colonel. Tung, now a mother who has set aside her Wonder Woman identity, is drawn back together with Ching and Chat to stop the villain's plans and secure safe water for the population.

Johnnie To directed alongside Tony Ching Siu-Tung, and it is the fifth of the twenty-three films To directed and the sixth of thirteen for Ching Siu-Tung, following The Heroic Trio the same year. Anita Mui, Michelle Yeoh and Maggie Cheung reprise their roles as the three heroines, with Damian Lau Chung-Yan, Anthony Wong and Takeshi Kaneshiro in supporting parts, from a screenplay by Susan Chan Suk-Yin. The production is a Hong Kong and Chinese co-production.

The film took about 5 million US dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from roughly 1,900 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 5.9 from around 45 votes. A critics' rating of 5.9 from ten reviews places it close to the audience scores.
