A mysterious virus brought by a comet begins killing women across the globe. To protect his partner, Will keeps Eva confined within a highly sterilized apartment, isolating them from both the disease and violent men who hunt the surviving women. As the external world becomes increasingly hostile, the couple's relationship is strained by their self-imposed quarantine. Eventually, they decide to leave their shelter and venture into the wilderness to share one final experience together.
