Sunny

A group of seven high school girls form a close-knit bond and establish a circle called Sunny, but a tragic incident eventually separates them. Twenty-five years later, Na-mi encounters one of her former friends in a Seoul hospital. Because this woman is terminally ill and wishes to see the rest of the group one last time, Na-mi sets out to find and reunite the surviving members of their adolescent friendship.

Directed and written by Kang Hyoung-chul, this South Korean comedy-drama followed his 2008 film Scandal Makers. The cast features Yoo Ho-jeong and Shim Eun-kyung, who both play Na-mi at different ages, alongside Jin Hee-kyung and Kang So-ra as Choon-hwa, and Koh Soo-hee and Kim Min-young as Jang-mi. The production involved a credited cast of 52 actors.

Produced by CJ Entertainment, the film had a budget of 6 million USD and earned 51 million USD at the worldwide box office. It has been well received by viewers, holding a 7.7 rating on IMDb based on 7,000 votes and a 7.8 rating on TMDB from 195 votes.
