Only God Forgives

In Bangkok, Julian runs a Thai boxing club that serves as a front for the drug business of his family's criminal organization. His mother Crystal, who heads the organization from the United States, arrives in the city after the death of Julian's brother Billy, determined to see those responsible punished. She orders Julian to track down and kill the person behind the killing, setting him on a collision with a retired police officer named Chang.

Nicolas Winding Refn directed and wrote the film, which followed Drive in the sequence of his features and reunited him with Ryan Gosling, who plays Julian. Kristin Scott Thomas appears as Crystal, Vithaya Pansringarm as Chang, and Rhatha Phongam as Mai. The production, mounted for about 5 million dollars, went on to take roughly twice that amount worldwide across its Danish, American, French and Swedish backing.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.7 from a large body of votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 from a much smaller sample. A critics' rating of 5.3 from 170 reviews places it slightly below both audience scores. The film runs 89 minutes.
