Wedding Daze

Anderson is a young man who has given up on love after a proposal goes badly wrong, leaving him devastated and withdrawn for a year. Urged by his best friend Ted to re-engage with life, he impulsively asks a waitress named Katie to marry him. She surprises him by accepting, and what began as a dare turns into a genuine romance. The two then have to navigate their very different backgrounds and the reactions of friends and family on both sides.

Wedding Daze is a 2006 American romantic comedy directed by Michael Ian Black, who also wrote the screenplay, working from a story by Sam Hoffman. It was the first film Black directed. Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher lead the cast as Anderson and Katie, with Michael Weston as Ted, Joe Pantoliano as Smitty, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Heather Goldenhersh in supporting roles; twenty-three performers are credited in total. The production was handled by GreeneStreet Films, Media 8 Entertainment, The Pleasure Company Inc. and Fugitive Films, with John Penotti, Jamie Gordon and Sam Hoffman producing.

The film runs ninety minutes and took about 11 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.6 from roughly 19,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 5.6 from 426 votes, so audiences are closely aligned. A critics' score of 4.3 from 12 reviews places it below those viewer figures.
