Coming & Going

Coming & Going is a romantic comedy about Lee, a skilled OBGYN who struggles with confidence when interacting with women outside of his professional life. After a minor injury leaves him temporarily using a wheelchair, he meets Alex. Believing that she is only interested in him because of his condition, Lee continues to pretend he is injured long after he has healed in an attempt to win her affection.

The film was directed by Edoardo Ponti, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dewayne Darian Jones. This was the first of two films directed by Ponti, followed by The Life Ahead in 2020. The movie stars Rhys Darby as Lee and Sasha Alexander as Alex, with a supporting cast that includes Fionnula Flanagan, Pam Cook, Michael Cornacchia, and Brian Hooks.

Released in the United States in 2011, the production was a collaboration between Bennett-Robbins Productions, PicturePlay Films, and Films 1420m. Audience reception has been mixed, as shown by a 5.3 rating on IMDb based on 772 votes and a 4.9 rating on TMDB from 22 votes.
