Tank Girl

In 2033, Earth has become a desert after a comet strike disrupted the planet's rain cycle, and water is controlled by a ruthless corporation, Water & Power, led by Kesslee. Rebecca, a rebellious young woman, takes on the corporation after its troops raid her community; captured and sent to forced labour in a mine, she escapes with Jet, a mechanic, and joins the Rippers in fighting back against the regime. The film adapts the British comic by Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett.

Rachel Talalay directed, following Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) and Ghost in the Machine (1993); it is the third of the six features she has directed in the listed order. Tedi Sarafian wrote the screenplay, and Pen Densham, Richard Barton Lewis and John Watson produced. Lori Petty plays Rebecca, with Naomi Watts as Jet Girl, Malcolm McDowell as Kesslee, Ice-T as T-Saint, Jeff Kober as Booga and Reg E. Cathey as Deetee, among 78 credited cast and 79 credited crew.
