A Night at the Roxbury

Doug and Steve Butabi are adult brothers still living at home and working in their father's flower shop. Their real ambition is the Los Angeles nightlife scene, and in particular the exclusive Roxbury club, which has repeatedly turned them away. A chance encounter with actor Richard Grieco, a regular at the club, gets them past the door, and the brothers set their sights on opening a club of their own.

A Night at the Roxbury is a 1998 American comedy directed by John Fortenberry, his second feature after Jury Duty (1995). The screenplay was written by Steve Koren with Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan, who star as Steve and Doug; Dan Hedaya plays their father, with Molly Shannon, Loni Anderson and Richard Grieco appearing as himself. Lorne Michaels and Amy Heckerling produced for Paramount and SNL Studios, and the film runs 82 minutes.

Made for a reported 17 million dollars, it took in roughly 30 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.2/10 from over 63,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.6/10 from about a thousand votes. A critics' score of 3.4/10 from 55 reviews is markedly lower than either audience figure.
