Mighty Fine

Set in the 1970s, this comedy-drama follows Joe Fine, a high-spirited man who moves his family from Brooklyn to New Orleans to find a better life. His wife, Stella, is a survivor of the Holocaust, and they have two daughters, Natalie and Maddie. While Joe is devoted to his family, his excessive spending and the potential collapse of his clothing business create a conflict he refuses to acknowledge. The story is told through the memories of an adult Natalie and was inspired by the director's recollections of her own father.
