Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous

Gracie Hart, the FBI agent who went undercover at a beauty pageant and came out a celebrity, now spends more time on television than in the field. Promoted into a public-facing role as the Bureau's new face, she is sent to Las Vegas when two people close to her from the pageant world are kidnapped there. Her efforts to get involved in the search put her at odds with her superiors, who would rather keep their public symbol out of danger, and with a new partner who has little patience for her.

The film is a sequel to Miss Congeniality, with Sandra Bullock returning as Gracie and also producing. Regina King plays agent Sam Fuller, alongside Enrique Murciano, Ernie Hudson, William Shatner as Stan Fields and Heather Burns as Cheryl Frasier. John Pasquin directed, working from a screenplay by Marc Lawrence, Katie Ford and Caryn Lucas; it is the fourth of the four features Pasquin directed, following The Santa Clause, Jungle 2 Jungle and Joe Somebody.

Released in March 2005, the film took in about 101 million dollars worldwide. Audience response was lukewarm: it holds a 5.2 rating on IMDb from roughly 85,000 votes and a 5.7 on TMDB from around 2,000 votes. A critics' rating of 4.3 out of 10, drawn from 146 reviews, sits below both audience scores, indicating that professional reviewers were harder on the film than moviegoers were.
