Charles Band's Evil Bong is a 2006 comedy horror film about a bookish student, Alistair, who moves into a college apartment shared by Larnell, Bachman and Brett, three roommates far more interested in parties and marijuana than in studying. Using Alistair's rent money, the group orders a large vintage water pipe advertised in a magazine. What arrives is EeBee, a bong with a sinister will of its own. Anyone who smokes from it is drawn into a surreal drug realm populated by seductive and dangerous figures, and escaping that world is not straightforward. The pipe's former owner, played by Tommy Chong, understands its power and becomes involved as the roommates try to survive it.
The film is directed by Charles Band, working from a screenplay by Domonic Muir, and produced by Band with Joe Dain through Full Moon Features and Full Moon Entertainment. It is the eighth of nineteen films Band directed, following Doctor Mordrid and preceding Charles Band's Evil Bong 2: King Bong. The cast includes David Weidoff, John Patrick Jordan, Mitch Eakins, Brian Lloyd, Kristyn Green and Robin Sydney, with twenty-two credited cast members and sixty-seven credited crew. It runs eighty-four minutes.
Audience response has been weak: on IMDb it holds 3.9 out of 10 from around 4,000 votes, and on TMDB 3.6 out of 10 from roughly a hundred votes. Both figures point to a film watched mainly by genre enthusiasts rather than a broad public.
