Confetti

Confetti is a British mockumentary about three couples competing for a magazine contest to stage the most original wedding of the year. The prize on offer includes a house, a spot on the magazine's cover, and the wedding day itself. Matt and Sam are old-fashioned romantics who build their ceremony around Hollywood musicals. Josef and Isabelle are fiercely competitive tennis enthusiasts. Michael and Joanna are committed naturists. The film follows the couples through the stressful weeks of preparation leading to the final, as their plans and personalities collide.

The film was released in 2006 and runs 100 minutes. It was written and directed by Debbie Isitt, who made her feature directing debut here; the facts list her next films as Nativity! (2009) and Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! (2012). The cast includes Martin Freeman, Jessica Hynes, Stephen Mangan, Meredith MacNeill, Robert Webb and Olivia Colman, among 119 credited performers.

Confetti took in about 5 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.7/10 from roughly 5,500 votes, while on TMDB it has 5.4/10 from 77 votes. A critics' rating of 5.7/10 from 74 reviews places critical and audience responses at a similar level. The film is a British comedy with romance elements, produced by BBC Film.
