Blonde and Blonder is a Canadian action comedy about two blonde women, Dee Twiddle and Dawn St. Dom, who meet and become friends while pursuing careers as dancers. After wandering into the middle of mob activity, they are mistaken for a pair of professional assassins and offered a large sum to take care of Mr. Wong, the head of a Chinese crime organization. The mix-up pulls them into a world of gangsters and federal agents, with the real killer, a woman known as The Cat, somewhere in the background.
Dean Hamilton directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Gerry Anderson and Rolfe Kanefsky. Pamela Anderson plays Dee and Denise Richards plays Dawn, with Emmanuelle Vaugier as The Cat, Meghan Ory as The Kit, Garry Chalk as Agent Gardenia and Kevin Farley as Leo among the 23 credited cast members. The film was produced by Gerry Anderson, Lindsay MacAdam and Christie Will for First Look International, Rigel Entertainment and Pneumatic Pictures, on a budget of 12 million US dollars.
Released in January 2008, the film runs 95 minutes. Its reception has been weak: on IMDb it holds a rating of 2.9 out of 10 from around 4,000 votes, and on TMDB 3.8 out of 10 from about 65 votes. The audience scores point to a film that found little favour with viewers.
