In a near-future California, the government has set up a Grand Lottery with a single rule: whoever holds the winning ticket can legally claim the fortune if they survive until sundown, because killing the winner before then is permitted. Katie Kim, an aspiring actress newly arrived in Los Angeles for an audition, accidentally ends up with the winning ticket, and the whole city turns on her. Reluctantly she teams up with Noel Cassidy, an amateur agent who works in lottery protection, and he agrees to keep her alive until nightfall in return for a share of the prize. Simu Liu appears as Louis Lewis.

Paul Feig directed the film from a screenplay by Rob Yescombe, with Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Laura Fischer producing. It is a comedy built on action and released in 2024, running 107 minutes. Awkwafina plays Katie and John Cena plays Noel, with Ayden Mayeri, Donald Watkins and Sam Asghari among the credited cast of 64. In Feig's filmography it sits between The School for Good and Evil and The Housemaid.

Ratings are middling on both sides: it holds 5.8 out of 10 on IMDb from around 34,000 votes and 6.3 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller base of roughly 840. A film critics' score of 4.7 out of 10 from 79 reviews is lower than either audience figure, so critics rated it less favourably than viewers generally did.
