Frostbitten
Short description
A medical doctor named Annika moves to a small town in northern Sweden with her teenage daughter, Saga, to work at a local hospital. While Annika seeks to work alongside Professor Gerhard Beckert, a man with a dark history involving the Waffen-SS, a group of local youths mistakenly consume an experimental vaccine. This leads to a series of violent events as bloodthirsty creatures begin to terrorize the inhabitants during the polar night.
Directed by Anders Banke, this comedy horror production from Russia and Sweden was the first of two listed films in the director's career, followed by Enemy Lines in 2020. The movie was produced by Göran Lindström and Magnus Paulsson under Cinepost Studios. The main cast features Petra Nielsen as Annika, Carl-Åke Eriksson as Professor Gerhard Beckert, and Grete Havnesköld as Saga, with Emma Åberg, Jonas Lawes, and Niklas Grönberg also appearing in lead roles.
