A group of teenagers living in Romania lose one of their friends after he is hurt in a motorcycle accident. When they learn that the ambulance did not take him to a hospital but to a facility run by the Hybratech corporation, they decide to get him out. Their friend Julian, whose parents have died and who lives with his uncle Charles, leads the effort with the help of the others. What they do not know is that the company has been developing a substance that brings the dead back to life, and their attempt to rescue him lets the undead loose inside the research centre.
The film was directed by Ellory Elkayem and written by William Butler and Aaron Strongoni. It followed Elkayem's Eight Legged Freaks and was released the same year as his Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave. Aimee-Lynn Chadwick, Cory Hardrict, John Keefe, Jana Kramer, Elvin Dandel and Peter Coyote appear among a credited cast of 27. Made for about 6 million dollars as a television movie, it draws on the Return of the Living Dead series while moving the story into a corporate research setting.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 3.3 from roughly 5,900 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 5.2 from about 265 votes. The wider sampling on IMDb places it lower than the smaller one on TMDB, and both figures indicate a modest reception.
