Good People

Tom and Anna Reed are a young American couple living in London who have fallen deep into debt while renovating the family house. When the tenant in the flat below them dies unexpectedly, they find a large sum of cash among his belongings, reported in various currencies. They decide to keep the money and tell no one. Their plan is to spend only what they need to stay afloat, but someone else knows about the cash and wants it back.

The film is directed by Henrik Ruben Genz, with a screenplay by Kelly Masterson. It stars James Franco as Tom and Kate Hudson as Anna, alongside Anna Friel, Omar Sy, Tom Wilkinson and Sam Spruell. It was produced by Tobey Maguire, Thomas Gammeltoft and Benjamin Forkner, and is a co-production involving the United Kingdom, Denmark, the United States and Sweden.

Released in 2014, the thriller runs 90 minutes and drew 2 million dollars at the worldwide box office. Its ratings sit in the middle range, at 5.5 out of 10 on IMDb from over 17,000 votes and the same figure on TMDB from around 500 votes. A critics' rating of 4.4 out of 10 from 33 reviews places it below the audience scores, which are themselves moderate.
