Dead Sea

A marine biologist travels to a town near an inland saltwater lake to investigate the unexplained deaths of local aquatic life. While some believe the deaths are caused by a creature from local legends, the scientist seeks to determine if these stories are true.

Written and directed by Brandon Slagle, this film was the first in a series of projects directed by Slagle, followed by Crossbreed and several other titles through 2025. The cast features James Duval, Devanny Pinn, Tawny Amber Young, Alexis Iacono, Britt Griffith, and Jim Mitchell, with a total of 24 credited actors. The production was a collaboration between Syfy and Dead Sea Films in the United States.

The film received mixed to negative reception from audiences. It holds a rating of 5.1/10 on IMDb based on 95 votes and a lower rating of 3.7/10 on TMDB from 40 votes.
