Puppet Master II

A team of parapsychologists arrives at an abandoned hotel to investigate what happened to the group that came before them. The hotel was once the home of Andre Toulon, the puppeteer whose living puppets have returned, joined by a new member called Torch. Toulon himself is revived, though his resurrection does not go as he hoped, and he needs more of the life-giving fluid if he is to restore himself. As the researchers dig into the building and its violent history, the puppets set about eliminating them by tunnelling, burning, strangling and hooking.

Puppet Master II was released in 1990 and runs 88 minutes. It is an American production from Full Moon Entertainment, directed by David Allen from a screenplay by David Pabian, with David DeCoteau and John Schouweiler producing. Allen's other directing credits, in order, are The Dungeonmaster, this film and The Primevals. Elizabeth Maclellan heads the cast as Carolyn Bramwell, appearing opposite Collin Bernsen, Steve Welles as Andre Toulon, Greg Webb, Charlie Spradling and Jeff Celentano.

Audience response sits between the middling and the mixed: on IMDb it holds 5.4 out of 10 across around 7,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 6 out of 10 from roughly 224 ratings. A film critics' rating of 4.8 out of 10, drawn from seven reviews, places critical reaction a little below the audience figures on both platforms, though all three scores fall in similar territory.
