Louise, a Manhattan attorney, arrives at the couple's country house expecting a quiet getaway with her husband Ian, only to learn that he intends to leave her for a younger woman. Rather than accept the news, she ties him up and resolves to hold him there until he agrees to give their marriage another try. The arrival of Ian's mistress and then of a man who turns out to be far more interested in robbing the place than in helping anyone sends the standoff in directions none of them anticipated.
