A Record of Sweet Murder

A serial killer who escaped from a psychiatric facility contacts a childhood friend now working as a journalist to grant her an exclusive interview. While filming the meeting, the man explains that he is committing murders as sacrifices to a god in hopes of resurrecting a dead girl from their shared past. He believes he must kill a specific number of people by the time he reaches age twenty-seven, and he prepares to claim his final victims while the reporters are present.

This crime thriller was written and directed by Koji Shiraishi. It is the fourth of 13 films he directed, following Grotesque and preceding Mystery Man. The production was a collaboration between Japan's Nikkatsu Corporation and Korea's Zoa Films. The cast features Kim Kkob-bi as So-yeon and Yeon Je-wook as Sang-joon, with appearances by Tsukasa Aoi, Ryotaro Yonemura, Park Jung-yoon, and Shiraishi himself.
