The Shamer's Daughter

Dina has inherited an unusual gift from her mother: the ability to see into other people's souls and make them feel shame for what they have done. When the only heir to the throne is wrongly accused of murdering his family, Dina's mother is brought to the castle at Dunark and taken prisoner after refusing to use her power to force a confession. Dina must uncover the truth behind the killings, and in doing so she becomes caught up in a dangerous struggle for power that puts her own life at risk.

The film is a Danish fantasy adventure directed by Kenneth Kainz, with a screenplay by Anders Thomas Jensen. It was produced by Nina Lyng and Eva Juel Hammerich for Nordisk Film Denmark alongside companies in Iceland, Norway, the Czech Republic and Sweden, and it was released in March 2015. Rebecca Emilie Sattrup plays Dina, with Peter Plaugborg, Jakob Oftebro, Maria Bonnevie, Søren Malling and Stina Ekblad among the 25 credited cast members.
