Victoria

Victoria is a young Spanish woman living in Berlin who, leaving a club in the early hours, meets Sonne and his friends. The four men present themselves as true Berliners and offer to show her the city as outsiders never see it. What begins as a night of drinking and wandering takes a different turn when an old debt catches up with the group and they are pressed into carrying out a robbery at a bank before dawn. Because one of them is in no state to drive, Victoria ends up behind the wheel, and a night that felt like an adventure becomes something far more dangerous.

Sebastian Schipper directed the film, which he also produced with Catherine Baikousis and Jan Dressler. It is known for being shot in a single continuous take, set in Berlin's Kreuzberg district, with Laia Costa as Victoria and Frederick Lau as Sonne; Franz Rogowski, Max Mauff, Burak Yiğit and André Hennicke are among the credited cast of 25. The action unfolds over roughly two hours of the character's life, from around four in the morning until six.

Released in 2015, the film runs 138 minutes and mixes crime, romance and thriller. On IMDb it holds 7.6 out of 10 from about 67,000 votes, and on TMDB 7.6 out of 10 from roughly 1,400 votes, while the critics' rating stands at 7.6 out of 10 from 136 reviews, showing close agreement between audiences and reviewers. It earned about 3 million dollars worldwide.
