Absolution

John Alexander is a professional contract killer working for a government agency. While on a mission in Eastern Europe, he and his partner encounter a young woman fleeing from a powerful mafia leader. This criminal boss maintains strong political connections and oversees a human trafficking ring. Alexander finds himself conflicted, forced to choose between his duty to the organization that employs him and his desire to protect the girl from the mob.

The film was directed by Keoni Waxman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Richard Beattie. In the chronological order of Waxman's work, this is the ninth of 14 films he directed, following A Good Man and preceding Contract to Kill. The cast features Steven Seagal, Vinnie Jones, Byron Mann, Josh Barnett, Adina Ștețcu, and Massimo Dobrović. Produced by Steamroller Productions and Actionhouse, the project involved a credited crew of 42 people.
