Little Witches

Six students at a Catholic girls' school find themselves alone on campus over the Easter holiday. Exploring beneath the church they attend, they come across an old temple and a book of black magic containing rituals and spells. Drawn into the occult, the group sets out to perform the rites described in the book, with the goal of summoning a demon. Jamie, the most forceful and cruel of the girls, takes charge and pushes the plan forward, while Faith, the more innocent member of the group, comes to regret their actions and tries to stop the ritual from being completed.

Little Witches is a 1996 American horror drama directed by Jane Simpson, written by Brian DiMuccio and Dino Vindeni, and produced by Donald P. Borchers. The cast is led by Mimi Rose as Faith and Sheeri Rappaport as Jamie, with Zelda Rubinstein appearing as Mother Clodah, Jack Nance as Father Michael, Eric Pierpoint as Sheriff Gordon and Zoe Alexander as Nicole. Roughly eighty crew members are credited on the production, which was mounted by Planet Productions, A-Pix Entertainment and Le Monde Entertainment and runs just over an hour and a half.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb the film holds a rating of 4 out of 10 from around 1,900 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 4.1 out of 10 from a much smaller base of 37 votes. The wider sampling on IMDb, alongside the limited voting on TMDB, suggests the film is mainly remembered by viewers with an interest in low-budget nineties horror.
