Mythica: The Necromancer

Mythica: The Necromancer is a fantasy adventure about Marek, a young wizard whose friend Thane is taken hostage by the head of a thieves' guild. To win his freedom, Marek and her band of aspiring heroes must carry out a dangerous job for the guild, a task that brings them face to face with Szorlok, the enemy they fear most. Marek draws on a dark power she possesses, one that could destroy her as easily as it serves her, and she must decide how much she is willing to give up to save her companions and stop Szorlok from claiming what he seeks.

The film is directed by A. Todd Smith and written by Jason Faller, Justin Partridge and Liska Ostojic. It belongs to the Mythica series, and its place in that run is set by the order in which the films were released. Melanie Stone leads the cast as Marek, with Adam Johnson, Jake Stormoen, Nicola Posener, Philip Brodie and Matthew Mercer among the principal players. Twenty-two cast members and forty-seven crew members are credited.

Made in the United States by Arrowstorm Entertainment, Camera 40 Productions and Bellpond Films, the film runs ninety-three minutes. It was released in December 2015. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.4 from around 2,800 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 5.9 from a much smaller base of 98 votes. The larger sample on IMDb points to a modest reception, and the wide gap between the two vote counts shows how limited the audience has been on TMDB.
