My Soul to Take

In the small town of Riverton, a serial killer known as the Riverton Ripper swore he would return to murder the seven children born on the night he was believed to have died. Sixteen years later, the town's teenagers start disappearing, and the seven turn sixteen. The question haunting Riverton is whether the killer somehow survived, or whether his spirit has passed into one of those children. Among them is Adam "Bug" Heller, who has been troubled by nightmares since childhood.

The film was directed and written by Wes Craven and produced by Craven, Anthony Katagas and Iya Labunka. It is the twenty-fourth of the twenty-five features he directed in chronological order, following Paris Je T'aime and preceding Scream 4. Max Thieriot plays Bug, with John Magaro, Denzel Whitaker, Zena Grey, Nick Lashaway and Paulina Olszynski among the main cast.

Released on October 8, 2010, the film runs 107 minutes. Made for a budget of 25 million USD, it took about 22 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 4.7/10 from more than 21,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.5/10 from over 560 votes. A critics' rating of 3.4/10 from 64 reviews places it below both audience scores.
