Tower Heist

Josh Kovacs manages one of the most exclusive apartment towers in New York, and he takes pride in knowing everything that happens inside it. That certainty collapses when federal agents arrive to arrest Arthur Shaw, the Wall Street financier who occupies the building's penthouse, on charges of defrauding his investors. Among those left with nothing are the tower's own staff, whose retirement savings Shaw had been managing. Furious, Josh loses his job along with his brother-in-law, and he begins to consider taking back what the residents and employees are owed.

With time running out before Shaw might escape the charges, Josh assembles an unlikely crew drawn from the building's employees and recruits Slide, a small-time criminal, to teach them how to pull off a robbery. Their target is the money they believe is hidden inside the heavily guarded penthouse, which the FBI is watching closely.

Brett Ratner directed the film, the tenth of thirteen he has made, following New York, I Love You and preceding Movie 43. Ben Stiller leads a cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Casey Affleck, Alan Alda, Matthew Broderick and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Made for 75 million dollars, it earned 153 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.2/10 from 157,000 votes and on TMDB 6.1/10 from 3,270 votes, close to the critics' rating of 6.2/10 from 195 reviews.
