A Good Old Fashioned Orgy

Eric Keppler has spent years hosting elaborate themed parties at his father's summer house in the Hamptons, a tradition that has kept him and his longtime friends connected since high school. When his father, Jerry, decides to sell the property, Eric proposes one final gathering before the house changes hands: an orgy, staged in the spirit of the parties they have always thrown. The idea meets a mixed response. His best friend Mike and Sue are quickly on board, while the others come around gradually for reasons of their own. Kelly, the friend least inclined to take part, becomes increasingly interesting to Eric as the weekend takes shape.

The film is a comedy directed by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, who also wrote the screenplay. It runs 95 minutes and was released in September 2011. Jason Sudeikis leads the cast as Eric, with Leslie Bibb as Kelly, Lindsay Sloane as Laura, Lake Bell as Alison Lobel, Michelle Borth as Sue Plummer and Nick Kroll as Adam Richman among the 32 credited performers. James D. Stern produced, with Endgame Entertainment, Fierce Entertainment and Aura Film Partnership behind the production.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 6.1 from roughly 25,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from a much smaller base of 360 votes. The larger IMDb sample suggests a modest but fairly settled level of audience approval rather than strong enthusiasm.
