Short description
Bride of Chucky brings the killer doll back to the screen, with Don Mancini writing the screenplay and Ronny Yu directing. The film follows Charles Lee Ray, a serial killer whose soul has spent a decade trapped inside a doll. When his former girlfriend Tiffany recovers the damaged remains and restores him through voodoo, Chucky returns to life. He kills Tiffany and transfers her soul into a female doll, and the two set off together, hitching a ride with a young couple who have no idea what they are carrying. Their journey turns into a spree of murder and mayhem.
This was the fourth film in the series and arrived as the fourth of eight features Yu directed in the chronology, following Warriors of Virtue and preceding The 51st State. The cast includes Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky, Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany, Katherine Heigl as Jade, Nick Stabile as Jesse, and Alexis Arquette as Damien, among 20 credited performers and 64 credited crew.
Made for 25 million US dollars, the film took in 51 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.6/10 from 63,194 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.1/10 from 2,164 votes. A critics rating of 5.7/10 from 42 reviews places it close to both audience scores. The blend of horror and comedy with a romance element shaped this entry, released in October 1998.

- There are many explicit quotes and references from "Bride of Frankenstein" (1935), "Halloween" (1978), and "Friday the 13th" (1980). For example, at the beginning of the film, we see a Michael Myers mask, a Freddy Krueger glove, and a Jason Voorhees goalie mask.
