Beach Babes from Beyond

Three teenage girls from another planet take a spacecraft belonging to one of their fathers without permission and set off on an interplanetary trip. When the ship runs out of fuel, they crash-land on the California coast, where they meet two young local men and settle into beach life. Trouble arrives when one man's easygoing uncle, Bud, faces eviction from his rundown beach house unless he can pay for repairs. The visitors decide to enter a bikini contest whose prize money could cover the cost.

David DeCoteau directed the film, the fourth of the twenty-two features credited to him in chronological order, following Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge and preceding Witchouse. Alexander Sachs and William Kelman wrote the screenplay, and Karen L. Spencer produced. The cast includes Joe Estevez as Uncle Bud, Don Swayze as Gork, Joey Travolta as Dr. Veg, Burt Ward as Mr. Bun, Jackie Stallone as Yanna and Linnea Quigley as Sally. Twenty-one performers and sixty-five crew members are credited.

Released in December 1993 by Full Moon Features and TorchLight Entertainment, the comedy runs seventy-five minutes. Audience response has been weak: on IMDb it holds a rating of 3.7 from around 1,400 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 4 out of 10 from roughly 40 votes. Those figures point to a small, largely disapproving viewership rather than a broad following.
