Team Thor is a short mockumentary set during the events of Captain America: Civil War. While the other Avengers are divided over the Sokovia Accords, Thor has stayed out of the conflict. Waiting in case Iron Man or Captain America calls on him to join their side, he takes up residence on Earth with an ordinary man named Darryl Jacobson and attempts to handle everyday domestic life, with Bruce Banner also appearing.
Taika Waititi wrote and directed the film, with Kevin Feige, Brad Winderbaum and Waititi producing. It followed Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople and came just before Thor: Ragnarok, his first full feature in the Marvel Studios franchise; he went on to make further short films in the same series. Chris Hemsworth plays Thor, Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner and Daley Pearson plays Darryl. The film runs three minutes and was released in 2016.
The short is a comedy with science fiction elements, made by Marvel Studios in the United States. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.7 from around 12,000 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 7.2 from several hundred votes. The two audience scores sit close together, indicating a generally favourable response to the film, though the vote counts on each platform suggest it reached a fairly modest audience for a Marvel release.
