Team Thor: Part 2 is a short comedy set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It continues the mockumentary style of its predecessor, following the Asgardian god Thor and his ordinary human roommate Darryl. While the Avengers are divided and Captain America and Iron Man are fighting, Thor remains focused on everyday matters, including his attempts to pay Darryl his rent using Asgardian coins. The conflict comes from the mismatch between cosmic heroics and mundane household obligations.
The film runs five minutes and was released in February 2017. It was directed by Taika Waititi, who also wrote the screenplay, with Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum producing for Marvel Studios. It sits between two other Waititi projects, following Team Thor and preceding Thor: Ragnarok, the feature he directed next. Chris Hemsworth reprises the role of Thor, and Daley Pearson returns as Darryl Jacobson.
On IMDb the short holds a rating of 7.3 from around 7,400 votes, while on TMDB it has a 6.9 from roughly 374 votes. Both figures point to a generally favorable response, with the larger IMDb sample suggesting the short reached a broader audience than the narrower TMDB count. The cast and the director's connection to the Thor feature films place it within the same comedic corner of the franchise.
